Wine Spectator.com（WS）是從1996年開始的美國葡萄酒評論網站，是葡萄酒最權威的消息來源之一，資深編輯群以美國人為主，有超過25萬款酒的評分、評論、新聞等等獨家內容。每年年底葡萄酒的大新聞，就是WS要公佈他的資深編輯選出TOP 10和TOP 100有哪些酒雀屏中選。
1998年開始WS每年選出令人興奮的100款酒，和今天2015年相比，葡萄酒的世界已經有很大的變化，1998年的時候，TOP 10 有3款法國波爾多、4款法國布根地、2款義大利紅酒、和1款美國加州卡本內。不到30年，在地球上的各個角落有非常多傑出的酒款，正在和舊世界有領導地位的酒款競爭以爭取市場的注意。如果要當一個葡萄酒愛好者（wine lover），現在是最好的時機。（有太多好東西可以選了）
WS發現今年選出來這些酒款，最有趣的是多樣性集合產生的「興奮點 (X-factor)」，從新的酒和新的產區，到傳統產區發展走向新方向。除此之外，按照品質（根據分數）、價值（根據價格）、和可得性（根據產量或是進口到美國的量）評選，從被評為outstanding（WS的百分制90分或90分以上）的超過5700款酒選出今年的TOP 100。
今年和2014年一樣，WS TOP 100的平均分數是93分，平均價格是$47，性價比非常好。
從廣大的葡萄酒市場來看，清單上很多酒款產量很少，也因此這個TOP 100不是一個採購清單，而是可以做為未來觀察哪些酒廠的指引，從這份名單看出WS對2015年特別有感觸。

WS 給酒打分數，也給餐廳提供的葡萄酒服務打分數給上「Restaurant Rewards」。餐廳要有有趣的酒單，和菜色有搭配，可以吸引到廣大範圍的葡萄酒愛好者。餐廳的酒單上必須要是完整而且正確的葡萄酒訊息，才能達到可被評選的門檻，包括年份、產區、可以點單杯酒。必須要有完整的酒廠名稱和拼音正確，這份酒單的表現方式也被列入考慮。除了美國，也評了其他50個國家的餐廳。
【Award Levels】至少要有90款酒，獎分為3個等級，每年重新評分。
Award of Excellence (2564 家)：入門獎。酒單至少有90款酒，和菜單的主要價格和特色，有很不錯、品質很好的酒款可選擇搭配。
Best of Award of Excellence (973 家)：最佳獎。明顯超越入門獎，通常酒單會有超過350款酒，並提供有經驗的葡萄酒服務，有年份深度，像是有頂級酒款的垂直年份，或是跨各產區的眾多選項。
Grand Award (81家)：最高等級獎。這是對在葡萄酒規劃上有執著而且熱情發展的餐廳，通常超過1000款藏酒，有很廣的頂級酒款數量、很多的主要的葡萄酒好年份、有整系列的大容量、和菜色搭配極佳、侍酒服務專業。
